Two special sessions have been organized for IEEE International Conferences VECIMS 2009 and CIMSA 2009. When submitting papers to a special session, please indicate which special session you are interested on the first page of your submission.

1. Special Session on Bio-modeling and Bio-manufacturing (chaired by Professor Wei Sun, Drexel University, USA) Include enabling computational technologies and fabrication processes for modeling, design and fabrication of biological systems, bio-tissue structures, 3D tissue scaffolds, and cell/organ printing.

2. Special Session on Human Monitoring and Interface Systems (chaired by Professor Yoshinobu Ebisawa, Shizuoka University, Japan, and Dr. Hu Yong, The University of Hong Kong, China) Include human face sensing & recognition; Driver’s state monitoring; Human interface for pointing; Human tracking and measurements; Biological and medical human monitoring systems.
